What is a bath lift?
A bath lift is a powered seat that lowers you into the water and raises you back out, so you are not taking your own weight. The Momentum has the Simple Lift powered seat built in, controlled by a handset rather than by hand.
How does the Simple Lift seat work in the Momentum?
You sit on the seat at the top, then use the remote handset to lower yourself gently into the bath. The same handset raises you again when you have finished. There is no need to lower yourself down or push yourself back up.
What happens if the power goes off while I am in the bath?
The Momentum seat has a battery back-up, so it can still be raised if the mains supply fails. Ask at your survey how the battery is charged and how you check it is working, so you are not relying on something untested.
Can I stretch out in the Momentum?
Yes. The Momentum is a full-length walk-in bath, so you can lie back rather than sitting upright as you would in a compact model. That suits people who want a proper soak and have the floor space for a longer bath.
How do I operate the seat in the Momentum?
With an easy to use remote handset that controls the seat going down and coming back up. Using a handset rather than a fixed panel means the control is in your hand while you are seated, not somewhere you have to reach for.
Is the Momentum base slip-resistant?
Yes, the base is slip-resistant and the bath has an ultra-low threshold, so there is very little to step over. Together with the grab bar and the powered seat, that covers the points where people most often lose their footing.
Can I add a spa massage to the Momentum?
Yes, the hydrovescent spa massage system is offered as an optional extra. It is built into the bath at manufacture rather than fitted afterwards, so decide before you place the order. Raise it at your free design appointment.
