What are split folding doors?
They are doors made in two halves that fold back on themselves rather than swinging out into the room. On the Enrapture this lets you open the front right up so a carer can help, then close it again to keep the water in. They also need less clearance than a hinged door.
Why would I choose the Enrapture over a smaller walk-in shower?
The Enrapture is the widest option in the range, which gives room for someone to help at shower time and space to move about while seated. If your bathroom can take it, that extra room is the main reason to pick it over a compact model.
What is a half-height door and why would I want one?
A half-height door covers the lower part of the opening only. It keeps water inside while leaving the top open, so a carer can lean in and help without getting soaked or reaching over a full-height panel. It is an option on the Enrapture.
Can a carer help without getting soaked?
That is the point of the design. The split folding doors and the half-height door option both let someone stand at the opening and assist while the water stays inside the shower. The folding seat means the bather can stay seated throughout.
Is the Enrapture suitable for a large bathroom?
It suits a larger room well, as it is a bigger walk-in shower than most in the range. If space is tight, the Invigorate or Inspire may be a better fit. The free survey compares the options against your actual measurements.
Does the Enrapture have a step?
It has an ultra low, slip-resistant access tray rather than a conventional raised shower tray, so there is very little to cross. The finished height depends on your floor and pipework, which the surveyor confirms on site rather than quoting in advance.
What seating comes with the Enrapture?
There is a choice of folding seats. Being able to sit matters more in a shower this size, because the distance from the entrance to the controls is longer. The seat folds up flat against the wall when nobody needs it.
