What is a digital shower?
It is a shower where the temperature and flow are set electronically rather than by turning a mixer valve. On the Premier Care digital shower you adjust the temperature with plus and minus symbols, so there is no stiff dial to grip and turn.
How far away does the digital shower remote work?
The wireless remote works from up to 10 metres away. That means you can start the shower and let it come up to temperature from outside the bathroom, or a carer can control it from where they stand rather than reaching across the water.
What is warm-up mode?
Warm-up mode runs the shower until it reaches the temperature you have set, so you only step in once the water is right. It removes the cold shock at the start and means nobody has to stand in the tray testing the water by hand.
Can I control the shower from my phone?
Smartphone control is available as an option. It works alongside the remote handset rather than replacing it, so anyone in the house who would rather not use a phone can still use the buttons. Ask which handsets are supported before ordering.
How many spray patterns does the showerhead have?
Four. The showerhead uses Flipstream technology to give four spray patterns from a single head, changed with a simple adjustment rather than a swap of parts. That is useful if one person wants a gentle spray while seated and another prefers something stronger.
Can I add a digital shower to any Premier Care walk-in shower?
Yes, the digital shower is available with all the walk-in shower models, including the Inspire, Revive, Refresh, Renew, Invigorate and Enrapture. Mention it at your free design appointment so it is priced into the quote from the start.
Is a digital shower easier to use for someone with arthritis?
Generally yes. Pressing a button takes far less hand strength than gripping and turning a wet valve, and the remote means you can operate it without stretching. If grip is the main difficulty, it is one of the more useful upgrades to consider.
How do you set the temperature on a digital shower?
With plus and minus symbols on the control, which change the temperature in steps rather than by feel. The shower is thermostatically controlled, so once the temperature is set it stays there even if water is used elsewhere in the house.
